This video shows a low level flight Hawker Hunter flight in the Swiss Alps. Very nice pictures, the jet is flying very close to the mountain. This is an INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE!!

this guy must be a bit lost, Mont Blanc isn’t in Switzerland….
take a second, and emerse your self for a second and believe in the what if. when the video is done strive for this. don’t sit back in your chair thinking about finding another video to make you feel better. don’t be wasteful skin in the country you belong to. this is for me more than any of you, this is to get me to stand up, do what i want regardless of the financial problems or whatever. you only live once do what you want.
Great !!
@JohnZBrown Song : Ameno
Wonderful video with good music. I think it goes well together
@JohnZBrown We have a misunderstanding. Let me try again… Unlike todays fighters, which have more thrust than weight, the hunter could not maintain a vertical climb before stalling, so I wonder what angle, relative to the vertical, that a hunter at full throttle needed to assume to maintain a constant climb to max altitude. THAT is what In was wondering.
@155383 thanks for that information – downloaded for the car now!
@flyinDPOD this hasn’t much to do with Angle of Attack (AoA). A plane can be flying vertically and still have the same AoA that it has in sustained straight and level flight. The wing doesn’t see the airflows any differently in either case. But I think I know that what you are wondering about is the wonderful climb up the face of the Matterhorn! In all of this flying, entries to manoeuvres are smooth, the AoA is nowhere near stall angle, and the stresses on the airframe are low. Cheers.
As a pilot this brings tears to my eyes. The Hawker Hunter is a lovely aircraft too. Out-climbing the Matterhorn is a highlight! I can keep watching this. I’d like to find the music for driving to – anyone know what it is?
I Haven’t seen anything better! That was amazing!
I DREAM LIKE THIS!!!
Hunter jet doesn’t get any better than this mate…unless it is saving your ass on Op Miracle Sep/Oct 1979 with it’s cannons!
i once saw two f/a-18 doing stunts in switzerland above zermatt. when they were doing dogfights they weren’t flying any 100ft above ground. i felt pretty owned when those jets were flying towards me o0 xD
thanks for great video; the matterhorn part was stunning. I suppose twisting through canyons & hopping over peaks is normal routine for Swiss pilots…
that is absolutely amazing!……..so jealous
it would be pretty awsome to be a swiss airforce pilot and have to run trainning exercises here all the time. very beautiful scenery
That makes me wonder what angle of attack a hunter can maintain in a climb.
causing any avalanches for the nice climbers and skiers in the process? Hehe.
WOW, he totally owned the Matterhorn.
Amazing video.
WOW!
beautilful county <3
